Storm
water drainage is an important part of all infrastructure upgrades and
development projects. The design can be more than simply
“getting” the storm water off of streets and keeping it away from
building structures.
Many MHS designs embrace storm
water in creating open areas that become an amenity feature to the
site. Early on in the concept of a design MHS will evaluate the
site restrictions and the clients needs for a project. Our storm
drainage design capabilities include design of standard pipe-inlet
collection systems, underground and dry-cell detention systems,
watershed dam design, groundwater monitoring, and storm drainage master
planning for municipalities.
MHS engineers embrace new
technologies in the use of industry standard computer modeling software
packages such as TR-55, HEC-1, HEC-2, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Haestad
Pondpack and StormCad to provide you with the best storm drainage
designs to move a project forward in real time. Past experience
has also involved permit applications such as standard MoDNR and KDHE
Notice of Intent, Division of Water Resources No-Net Increase, Floodway
Fill, Corps of Engineers Nation Wide Permits, Wetland Mitigation, FEMA,
CLOMR and LOMR submittals.
